I sold it ;) I ran out of money and needed to sell it to pay some bills... It was a good fun little bike though :)

Just a little update on the CBR 125's, now at the start of 2010 we're starting to see some lower resale prices. I've seen around $1350 asked for an 07, and around $1400-$1500 (Canadian). These prices seem pretty reasonable. Though there are still people asking $2600 for an 07, I think when they don't sell they might realize they have to lower their price to reflect the fact that the bikes another year older, and there are a ton of them on the market, all with similarly low km's on them.

Part of me says the next time I see a deal on one, I should pick it up, but the responsible part of me says I don't need 2 motorcycles, and I'm not selling my Kawasaki. It was a fun bike to own though, and relatively comfortable to ride. It wasn't too sporty of a seating position, the only thing were the mirror positions if I recall weren't the best for sitting completely upright, and if you tucked in you couldn't see them obviously. Such is the nature with a sport bike I suppose, not really my style of riding anyways. I'm sure mirrors could be adjusted, and they weren't terrible either.

Also, the local Honda dealer has new 07's left in stock that they've got on for $2499 (freight + pdi included), with an additional year of warranty over the standard Honda warranty! With the mileage this thing gets, the lengthy warranty, cheap insurance, and low price point, it's hard to compete with this thing for commuting!

On the cbr125r.ca community another member has found a dealer selling brand new 2007 model 125's for $2299 with no additional freight or pdi charges, and an additional year of warranty. That's a heck of a deal and it is hard to beat this thing in terms of a cheap reliable commuter bike. Heck even the Chinese bikes will have a hard time competing with these things. Sure they should hold their value a little better for the used market, but it is still realistic they have to drop in price a little every time they change hands. I tell myself I don't need one, but if the price on a used one shows up at the right mark I may just have to look into another one.
