The only difference will be the bulbs. You just need to use 6 volt bulbs in the 12 volt housing.

do u mean the other way around? the non broke ones are the 6 volt system from a never gonna make it work 78 honda and i wanna put em on a 83 yamaha 500 that is 12 volt and mosly running order... anyway so the internal wiring on the turn signals wouldnt matter just need 2 change bulbs?

Right vice versa, As long as the wire is not too thin You will be fine, On a bike that will almost never be an issue. The six volt bulb would just burn brighter for a much shorter period of time :) Swapper for a twelve and You're ready to roll.

I agree, just replace with a 12VDC bulb and you're ready to ride. The wiring will be fine.

I was confused on which way you were going. From the hondas I have seen. Many of the older ones had the same turn signals and both 6v and 12v models.

Should be no problem. Just use 12v bulbs.

FYI. I am not an electrican I just play one on forums.
